Jeffrey Berkowitz founded Aurora in 1989 after working for a Quebec-based landlord. As a retail broker and tenant representative, he has worked with shopping malls, strip centres, "big box" developments, lifestyle centres and street sites, as well as office, retail and entertainment projects. Jeff has undertaken assignments across Canada, the United States, Europe, Asia, Central America and the Middle East. He specializes in development strategy, retail site selection and negotiation.
Miranda Bird joined the shopping centre industry a decade ago where she worked within the National Leasing Marketing team of Ivanhoe Cambridge. She soon moved into Specialty Leasing where she applied herself to the strategic planning and execution of specialty leasing platforms within various development projects and shopping centres such as Vaughan Mills. Bringing valuable experience on the landlord side, Miranda offers keen insight into the many facets of temporary leasing. Miranda joins Aurora to focus on specialty leasing opportunities for developers and retailers alike.
For over a decade Jeri has represented an exclusive roster of prominent retailers, assisting them with real estate strategies, analyzing research and demographics, providing expert recommendations and negotiating complex legal documents, on their behalf. She previously worked for some of Canada’s foremost landlords and third-party service providers, successfully directing office, industrial and retail leasing, property management, acquisitions/dispositions and asset management divisions throughout North America and served on the Executive Board of BOMA (Toronto). Jeri is Broker of Record for the Toronto office.
Suzanne Cayley began her career in the shopping centre industry with Olympia & York Developments at Queen's Quay Terminal where she was introduced to the wonderful world of specialty leasing. Suzanne joined Ivanhoe Cambridge in the mid 90's where she created and developed the Specialty Leasing & Partnership department to become Canada's most respected and highest revenue-producing program.
She has nurtured thousands of retailers over her 20 years with Ivanhoe Cambridge and has developed an expertise in pop-up in-line retailing. She is considered the leading authority on Specialty Leasing in Canada and she joined Aurora to focus on specialty leasing and pop-up opportunities for retailers, developers and brands.
Mark is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and is based in our London office in the UK. He has dealt with retail property throughout his career, having worked with a number of leading retail companies in-house, and finally Mothercare, where he headed up the estates team.
Mark has been a consultant since 2000, and with his deep understanding of UK and European retail markets has successfully acted for a number of independent and multiple retailers, including Next, Argos, Matalan, Laura Ashley, B&Q, Coral, Butlers Chocolate Cafes and Pumpkin Patch. The work has involved location strategy, site investigation, lease terms negotiations, liaising with solicitors and shop fitters and generally seeing a shop acquisition through to successful opening.
He also has the proven ability in achieving the best terms on shop disposal, lease re-gears, rent review and lease renewal negotiations.
Alisa Clamen has over twenty- five years of experience as a commercial and corporate attorney. She has worked for multinational corporations such as Bombardier and SNC-Lavalin. Alisa has spent the last eighteen years specializing in franchise, real estate, leasing and financing law as well as mergers and acquisitions representing both retailers and licensees of notable chains such as Forever 21, Starbucks Coffee, Pizza Hut, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Ann Taylor and Loft.
David has worked for many years at Aurora, initially as Director for Atlantic Canada. For the past 3 years David, originally from the UK, has been located in our newly opened Manchester UK office where he has been working on a major expansion of Cash Store UK. His exceptional skills in leasing and negotiation offer a new perspective to clients in Great Britain. Having worked with some of the largest retailers in Canada for some 25 years David has now turned his sights into developing our brand in the UK. As a retail leasing specialist David offers retailers an unbiased, retail only perspective to your growth.
Having been with Aurora for over a decade, Daphne handles much of the company's day to day operations. As National Director of Operations, she works closely with the President and COO in matters of corporate policies, marketing, and client affairs.
With almost three decades of experience in sales, leasing, and real estate management, Don Gregor started his career with Royal LePage, moving to the landlord side of the table for Beutel Goodman, and First Pro Shopping Centres. He has worked with community centres, big-box, street, office concourses, strip centres, land development and industrial. Don has completed over 4.5 million square feet of leasing transactions across Ontario. Don is also assisting our clients as they move towards new retail omni channel e-commerce solutions with state-of-the-art distribution warehouse deals. Don is a graduate of McMaster University B.Sc. (Geology) and has also attended Ryerson University and the Sauder School of Business.
Jane joined the Central Ontario office of Aurora in 2017 as an unlicensed executive assistant and office manager after a teaching career specializing in early learning and autistic spectrum studies. Jane is a graduate of McMaster University B.A. (Humanities) and has also attend George Brown College (ECE) and the Kingston College (TA)
Joshua Hasen joined the real estate industry in 2008, where he worked closely with both tenants and landlords in leasing retail space. He began as a tenant representative for several major national retailers across Canada. Since then, Joshua has been specializing in commercial retail leasing in Quebec and handling acquisitions and dispositions for his clients in Quebec and in the United States. Joshua joined Aurora in 2011.
With over 15 years of sales, marketing and communications experience, Ashley Herod has an exemplary reputation for her expertise in driving sales, developing and implementing marketing campaigns and creating strategic partnerships in multiple industries.
Ashley blends her unique skill set to create exceptional marketing partnerships and additional revenue streams for clients in financial and investment services, tourism, luxury products and experiences, sports and automotive. She joins the Aurora team to focus on strategic partnerships and marketing.
Ashley entered the real estate world working for the listing broker of an exciting condominium project in Toronto’s Distillery District. Ashley specializes in securing urban street-front locations as well as power centre, strip centres and enclosed mall stores throughout the GTA for a diverse range of prominent regional, national and international retailers. Ashley volunteers her time and expertise to help organize industry events for the Toronto chapter of ICSC Next Generation.
Steve Longdon has over 35 years of experience with UK retailers. During that time he has held Chief Executive and Director positions at Marks and Spencer, Top Shop/Top Man and World Duty Free. Steve has an extensive knowledge of the United Kingdom retail landscape ranging from county town high streets through large shopping malls to flagship spacs in all major cities. He Joined Aurora in 2014.
Joanna joined the Montreal office of Aurora in 2013. Some of her principle roles within the company consist of creating marketing tools and presentation packages for clients, generating Canada-wide demographics, as well as offering general support to brokers and clients alike.
Manon Parisien has over 30 years of experience in the real estate sector mainly with The Cadillac Fairview Corporation Limited, one of North America's largest owners of commercial real estate. During her career, she held executive level positions and developed an expertise in real estate management and leasing of shopping centres, office properties and urban mixed-use projects.
As a real estate broker, she handles mandates with International, U.S. & Canadian real estate developers and retailers. She specializes in owners' and tenants' representation for high streets and shopping malls (enclosed, outlets, lifestyle centres, power centres, strip centres).
Evelyn Reynolds has over thirty years as an executive in the retail industry with broad based international experience in luxury, mass and specialty retail and business development across the spectrum of fashion, food and retail services.
Her entrepreneurial vision and idea generation, demonstrating a unique combination of business savvy and creative sensibility have resulted in strong positioning and growth for brands and retailers at both the top and bottom lines.

Roy Salomon is a commercial leasing specialist with over 40 years experience. While with the firm of Richard & Roy Salomon Inc. he acted as consultant to Place Ville Marie, Place Versailles, Brentwood Shopping Centre, Halifax Shopping Centre and Parly II in Versailles, France, among others.
Since completing an MBA at the Schulich School of Business Shane has specialized in retail real estate. He has been on the landlord side where he was responsible for the leasing of over 1.5 million square feet of retail space. Since then, Shane has specialized in tenant representation focusing on lifestyle centres, streetfront locations, strip centres and power centres. He acts as an out-sourced real estate resource for retailers and restaurants, helping them to expand into various Canadian and US markets. Shane joined Aurora in 2007.
Karen joined the company in 2011 with a wealth of experience on both the retail and landlord side. As Real Estate Manager of Starbucks Coffee Canada for eight years, Karen was responsible for its initial penetration into the Eastern Canadian market. Rounding out her 15 years of real estate experience on the landlord side, Karen assisted with valuations and property management of office buildings, retail plazas and shopping malls across Canada. She is a member of OREA and ICSC and an alumna of Ryerson University.
Valentino has worked extensively in the commercial real estate industry for over 20 years prior to joining Aurora. He has been directly involved in acquisition, disposition, development and leasing for such companies as Canderel and Les Cours Mont-Royal Shopping Centre. Valentino is knowledgeable in all facets of the commercial real estate transaction, from site selection to lease negotiation and execution.
Jean-François is a graduate of University Laval (Law degree) and has over 8 years of experience in the field of sales. He joined Aurora in 2015 as a Commercial Real Estate Broker to specialize in the retail trade sector. Since his arrival, he has worked closely within our Real Estate Services Team and has been actively involved with landlords & tenants to fulfill their leasing needs.
Louise McPeek Williams began her real estate career with Paris-based retail giant Midial, owners of multiple retail food concepts, then served as Director of Real Estate for Helzberg Diamonds for nearly a decade before founding McPeek Williams Real Estate Services in 1999. She has represented national retailers such as Sunglass Hut, Motherhood Maternity and Vitamin World. She specializes in providing a full range of services to retail clients, including strategic planning, site selection and lease negotiation and works with mall, lifestyle and entertainment landlords from coast to coast.
Beverly joined the Toronto office of Aurora in 2012 as Office Manager and continues to play a central role in coordinating all aspects of office operations. From site research and analysis to development of more insightful and enhanced Site and Tour packages, Beverly is the go-to person for both Account Managers and our clients.
Perri has over 25 years experience in the commercial real estate industry across Canada. Specializing in the Metro Vancouver market, she has worked with some of the nation's leading landlords and tenants.
